Kelly Rowland took American Idol star Jennifer Hudson to help her out at judges houses in Miami last week and we have to say, we don;t think she could have chosen a better assistant.
The 30 year old songstress rose to fame in 2004 as one of the finalists on the third season of American Idol. However she really hit the headlines after she made her film debut in the 2006 film Dreamgirls, which won her an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress, a Golden Globe Award, a BAFTA Award, an NAACP Image Award and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
The women worked together to whittle down eight hopeful female singers, to just four for the upcoming X Factor live shows, and each contestant got to perform two different songs for the singing experts.
However it was claimed that Kelly didn’t give her girls an easy ride and as well as first slapping them with a sex, alcohol and party ban, she later told her final four that they would spend their last few hours in America in a vocal training session, instead of relaxing and enjoying their time in sunny Miami.
Explaining just what a tough and hands on mentor she will be, Kelly said:
“There will be absolutely no alcohol, no smoking, no talking loud in clubs. I want them to take care of their bodies.”
“I will be like, ‘Don’t let anything knock you off your focus, or you will lose everything’.”
